As a Teacher, do you feel...

...thousands of teachers feel just like you do.

Teaching is Emotional™ is a place where educators come together to share their stories, experiences, and insights. It's a space dedicated to the emotional side of teaching, providing support and understanding for the challenges and triumphs that come with shaping young minds. Join our community and be part of a network that values the emotional well-being of teachers as much as their professional development.

WELCOME!

We at Teaching is Emotional recognize teaching is much more than lesson planning and assessing.

Teaching is an emotionally challenging profession.

The goal of Teaching is Emotional is to talk about the emotional impacts of our jobs, so every teacher feels empowered and emotionally strong as they navigate their teaching profession.

More than we realize, teaching will unearth our personal triggers and will lead us on an emotional journey. We must be brave enough to understand ourselves deeply, so we can recognize when our teaching environment (our students, our colleagues, our administrators) affects our emotional state.

"FIERCENESS is important here because she wasn’t complaining, she was explaining what she had learned about how to deal with these very real emotional challenges and how she wanted every teacher everywhere to discover what she’s learned. Which, of course, is why you’re holding this book in your hands.

It’s all here—coffee and tornadoes and doormats and AI and several decades of Diane’s wisdom on how to be a teacher in such a way that you find yourself saying ‘THIS IS WHAT I SIGNED UP FOR.’”
